GrowSmart (“we”, “our”, “us”) is committed to protecting the privacy of our users (“you”, “your”). This policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our platform at growsmart.kids.

  • Account information: Name, email address, and profile picture via Google Sign-In.
  • Child profiles: Name, age, and school information you provide to personalise tools.
  • Usage data: Which tools you use, how often, and AI interactions to improve personalisation.
  • Gmail data (optional): If you connect Gmail for School Comms Decoder, we access school-related emails in read-only mode. We never read, store, or process emails beyond extracting school communications.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide and personalise our AI-powered tools for your child’s development.
  • Adapt content to your child’s age, interests, and learning patterns.
  • Generate developmental insights and progress reports.
  • Improve our services and develop new features.

4. Gmail Data Usage

Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:

  • We only request read-only access to Gmail (gmail.readonly).
  • Email data is processed in real-time to extract school communications and is not stored permanently.
  • We do not use Gmail data for advertising, market research, or any purpose unrelated to the School Comms Decoder feature.
  • We do not share Gmail data with third parties.
  • You can disconnect Gmail access at any time from within the tool.

5. Data Storage and Security

  • Data is stored securely using Supabase with row-level security policies.
  • OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest.
  • All connections use HTTPS/TLS encryption.
  • We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties.

6. Children’s Privacy

GrowSmart is designed for parents of children ages 2–8. Children do not create accounts or provide information directly. All data is provided and controlled by parents. We comply with applicable children’s privacy regulations.

7. Your Rights

  • Access and update your profile and child data at any time from the dashboard.
  • Delete your account and all associated data from your profile settings.
  • Disconnect third-party integrations (Gmail) at any time.
